How it works
The Drawing:
The drawing for film length will be at the IFCKC monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 19. 2025. Registrants will spin a wheel to randomly receive a 1-minute, 3-minute, or 5-minute film length. Number of films in each category will be determined by the number of registered teams, for example, if there are 12 teams, there will be four 1-minute films, four 3-minute films, and 4 5-minute films.
Cost to register a team is $10 for IFC members and $15 for non-members. The initial spin for each film’s length is free, but additional spins are $5 each.
The Deadline:
Entries and five (5) still photos from each entry are due on April 19, 2025, by 11:59 PM CT.
The Screening:
Completed films will be screened at the Glenwood Arts at 7:00PM on April 26th, 2025.
Tickets for the screening will be $10 per ticket, and one free ticket is included with the submission fee.
The Competition:
Filmmakers will make a film with the exact length of 1-minute, 3-minutes, or 5-minutes. Films are not exactly 1-minute, 3-minutes, or 5-minutes will not be eligible to be included in the competition but may still be screened. Each film time category competes with the other films in that time category, i.e., a 1-minute film completes against the other 1-minute films, but not against the 3- and 5-minute films. Judges will select the best film in each time category. Awards will include Best 1-Minute Film, Best 3-Minute Film, Best 5-Minute Film, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Audience Choice.
