Lonita Cook will be moderating for the evening. The discussion will focus on each individual’s experiences in film, advice for others, and the need for diverse voices in the industry.

Lonita Cook is a Kansas City-based film critic. She contributes to KCTV5 (CBS), L Women’s Lifestyle Magazine, IN Kansas City Magazine, and blackbeebuzz.com. She’s a Board Member at Kansas City Film Critic Circle and Member at Critics Choice Association. Find Lonita @LonitaCook
Jamie Addison is a SAG-eligible actor and writer from Kansas City, Missouri. Her experience includes roles in several feature length and short films. Jamie’s award-winning script, “BF”, a drama/sci-fi short film inspired by her breastfeeding journey as a new mom, is slated to be her directorial debut with planned production in 2023.
Meagan Flynn: A sarcastic and proud Montana native, Meagan shines in front of and behind the camera. She can be seen in films such as Jason Reitman’s Oscar-nominated Up in the Air and various television shows. She is a two-time Mid-America Regional Emmy award-winner and the owner of Smart Mouth Productions. She continues to act, direct, and produce across genres.
Elaina Paige Thomas and her talent agency, The Next Paige, provide guidance to aspiring artists by enhancing their talents and navigating them through the entertainment industry.
Joni Mitchell is the award-winning writer and producer of Mildred’s Crime Show. That script won two awards in the 2018 Kansas City Women in Film short script competition – best overall script and audience choice. She went on to film the script in 2019. After meeting great local talent and crew on her first film, she has assisted in many other short films throughout the Kansas City area.
Grace Chapin joined KCTV5 in November 2021 as the weekday Traffic Anchor and Lifestyle Show Reporter. When Grace isn’t at work, she and her husband are out golfing, watching sports, or hanging out in Grace’s happy place… the movie theater.
