Filmmaker Faceoff

A few scripts are chosen from the submissions by the IFC Board Members.

Those scripts are given to many different filmmaker teams to interpret in their own way.

Then, those films will be shown on the big screen!

DETAILS

Each team was given one of the chosen scripts and will have full creative control on how to interpret that into their film.

Screenplays submissions were due by Wednesday July 17th, and were selected before the August IFC meeting.

Screenplays submitted must have be 10 pages or under. The sweet spot is 5 pages.

Teams were randomly assigned their screenplay at the August meeting and have until November 11 to complete their film. (Film assets such as marketing materials are due October 28.)

Screening will take place at Screenland Armour on Monday, November 18 @ 6:30PM.

Screenwriters: Remember the script is a jumping off point filmmakers will have full creative control to change whatever they’d like, genre, genders, locations, lines but in the end will be judged if they still have the essence of the original script.
