President

Jamie Morrow
JAMIE MORROW brings a wealth of experience to the table and a vision for the Kansas City film community. A local actor with commercial, film, and theater experience, who stepped behind the lens to take on roles of production coordinator, assistant director, and production assistant. Morrow is committed to shaping the future of Kansas City’s filmmakers, regardless of age, demographic, or background. Her dedication to education and community support is a cornerstone of her approach, aiming to unite a divided community and showcase the collective strength that collaboration can bring.

Vice President

Patrick Poe
PATRICK POE (he/they) is a multifaceted filmmaker who’s worked in about every job imaginable on a film set. He along with his producing partner Lolo Loren founded IX Film Productions and were voted Best Filmmaker in KC in the Pitch Magazine the past two consecutive years. He is also the co-host of the movie trivia podcast First Timers Movie Club and one of the founders of the Bird Watching Film Festival held monthly at The Bird Comedy Theatre in the Crossroads. Patrick has previously served on the IFCKC board as an at-large board member and is excited for the additional responsibility of vice-president.

Treasurer

Amanda Blanchard
DR. AMANDA P. BLANCHARD, D.C., or Manda, is a United States Army veteran, chiropractor, farmer, and mom to two great kids. Her son cannot form his own words, and uses television to teach himself to speak, and Manda writes television to give him back his words. She writes sketch comedy for VET.TV, a streaming channel whose mission is to combat veteran suicide. She is honored to serve as the 2025 IFCKC treasurer.

Secretary

Justin Nosler
JUSTIN NOSLER (he/him) is a screenwriter who still feels weird calling himself a filmmaker with a growing dedication for supporting our local film community. Two years on the IFC board as Membership Coordinator has given him incredible insight into the wealth of talent and passion this community has to offer. Happy to play even a small part, he's excited to be moving into a new role on the board and committed to helping this organization and community continue to grow.

Communications Coordinator

Jamel Calhoun
JAMEL CALHOUN (he/him) is a Digital Artist and Multimedia Specialist. He specializes in Video Production, Graphic Design, Photography, and Media Communication. This is his second year serving on the IFCKC Board. The year first prior as Social Media Coordinator. He believes in learning, networking, showcasing, and having fun with the Kansas City film, arts, and media community. He believes with each project his mission is to tell a story. It’s been a true honor to have a hand in telling the story of the IFC.

Membership Coordinator

Christopher (Chris) Huth
CHRISTOPHER HUTH is an aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker and a fairly new member of the IFCKC community. Over the past few months he has been fortunate enough to get to know many fantastic and talented artists local to Kansas City. As Membership Coordinator he hopes to not only meet more, but to also help provide connections and resources to those starting out on their filmmaking journeys. While his primary passion is for screenwriting he has recently dabbled in acting, and is eagerly looking to get more on-set experience as a Production Assistant. Oh, and he also produces YouTube video essays and a podcast about (and local screenings of) the TV series Lost.

Website Administrator + Media Manager

Timothy Harvey
TIMOTHY HARVEY (he/him) is a writer, director, editor, occasional actor, and production designer with something of a passion for film noir movies. He joined the IFCKC in 2006 and directed his first short film, Last Call, that year. He was the art director for the horror films American Maniacs, Blood of Me, and the pilot for the science fiction series Paradox City. Timothy served in a variety of roles on the IFCKC’s board from 2008 to 2018, including two terms as President, and returned to the board in 2023 as the Secretary/Archivist.

Samuel (Sam) Tady
SAMUEL (SAM) TADY is an Independent filmmaker and Video Production Specialist living and working in the KC Metro Area. He has been part of the Kansas City film scene for over 10 years and is looking forward to working both with his fellow board members and the greater community at large to make the IFC a safe place to experiment, a fun place to learn, and a civil place to compete with one another to encourage growth.

Special Events + Program Coordinator

Phillip Dixon
PHILLIP ARTHUR DIXON is a Kansas City native, who through film, aims to showcase the unique perspectives of Midwest culture and lifestyle. He attended Fisk University for his Bachelors degree and the University of Kansas for his Masters degree. He received degrees in history from both prestigious establishments. Phillip understands the need and importance of resources and hopes to expand the pool of resources for the Kansas City Film Community and all of the talented filmmakers involved.

Diversity and Inclusion Committee Head

Ace Lovelace
ACE LOVELACE (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist based out of KC. Ace is a Director, Choreographer, Producer, Composer, Performer, Visual Artist, Playwright, and Screenwriter. Representation is important to Ace, and as Diversity and Inclusion Chair, they will work to show aspiring filmmakers, especially those from underrepresented communities, that this industry is accessible to them. Ace's goal is to help broaden the scope of voices and stories being told, ensuring that all perspectives are valued in the world of filmmaking.Ace is very excited for this position on the board for 2025!

Outreach Coordinator

Will Carter
WILL CARTER, an award-winning independent filmmaker and owner of Hoot Owl Films, excels at connecting with filmmakers across the spectrum—from those just starting their journeys to seasoned professionals. Known for his passion for inclusivity, Will often collaborates with new talent and crew members, providing opportunities to those eager to learn the art of filmmaking. As the Outreach Coordinator, he is committed to expanding the reach of the IFCKC through strategic partnerships with local and regional film festivals, film educators, state and local film offices, and initiatives that support underrepresented and diverse filmmakers.

Julia O'Donnell
JULIA O'DONNELL is an emerging actress, director, and screenwriter with a penchant for dark femme content. She is an experimental storyteller who is dedicated to mental health advocacy and raw authenticity in her work. As a filmmaker, she is passionate about innovative visuals, thought-provoking narratives, and artistry that pushes at the boundaries of what we have been taught to expect. As a board member of IFCKC, Julia is deeply committed to diversity and inclusion in the industry, and to encouraging radical authenticity in community relationships. She dreams big and encourages others to do the same, believing that together our community can make our wildest dreams into reality.

At Large

Drew Wagner
DREW WAGNER (he/him) is a writer/filmmaker based in Kansas City whose work has been a part of festivals around the country. While still relatively new to the community, Drew is excited to serve on the board. He looks forward to helping strengthen the collaborative and inclusive environment in the KC film community in any way an at-large member can.
