Filmmaker faceoff
It’s said a film is made three times:
First in the writing.
Then in the filming.
Finally in the edit.
Let’s see how true that is in our newest competition: The Filmmaker Faceoff!
With the first “making of the film” competition, see how the filming and editing can change based on the filmmaker’s vision.
First, screenplays will be submitted and 3-5 will be selected to give to the filmmakers.
Then, filmmakers will face off with the pre-selected scripts to see the different creative interpretations that can be used to bring a story to life.
Each team will be given one of the chosen scripts, and will have full creative control of how to interpret that into their film.

One Night Stand
The original timed film competition since 1998. Teams form and start making a film around breakfast and deliver the film before dinner. All films are screened that same night!

Details
The 1-3-5
Filmmakers get randomly assigned a time of either 1, 3, or 5 minutes. Their final film must be exactly that length, including credits.

Every Picture Tells a Story
Filmmakers pair up with regional artists or every kind, to tell the stories of those artists and their art. While primarily a documentary competition, films can be interpreted in any genre.
